Divers on the Net
When the "Form function" radio button is set to "add an entry",
the form is used to add an entry to "Divers on the Net".
- The information required to make an entry here has been kept to a minimum to
accomodate those people who may be concerned about posting personal information on the network.
A name, email address, and password are required. All other information is optional.
- You may enter your real name, nickname, or both, in any format you choose.
- Your email address should not contain any blanks.
If you want to include more than 1 email address, separate them with a comma.
- Passwords must be 8 characters long, alphanumeric (no blanks or special characters),
and are case sensitive. Remember the password you choose. You must know the password
to delete your entry.
- If you don't have a personal home page, please leave that box blank.
- The "additional info" box can be used to specify your location, favorite dive sites,
interests, or any other info you want to post. If you live at one location, and are looking
for divers in other locations, you can specify both locations in any format you choose.
- To create a new entry...
...fill out the form,
...make sure that "Form function" is set to "create a new entry",
...and click on the "Execute form" button.
- The "Erase form" button will blank out the form
and set the "Form function" radio button to "select entries for display".
I have heard that some web browsers do not handle the drop down selection boxes correctly.
This is not the fault of the form. If you have this problem, please report it to the software
support group for your web browser. Unreported bugs will never get fixed. If there is
information in the selection boxes you want to include in your entry, but are unable to do so
because of web browser bugs, either enter the information in the "additional info" box,
or send your info to me via email and I will add it for you.
If you want to change your entry after you have added it, use the form to delete your
existing entry, then create a new entry. If you have trouble deleting your entry, email me
and I will delete it for you.
